Again coveted by Paris Saint-Germain, Zinedine Zidane would still not be thrilled with the idea of joining the club of the capital. And for a rather specific reason.
There is always something stuck between Zinedine Zidane and Paris Saint-Germain. The former number 10 of the France team has been the absolute dream of the owners of the capital club for several years, and the soap opera returns at the end of each season, or almost, without concrete progress.
Zidane has however been free since 2021, and his departure from Real Madrid. But that didn’t make PSG’s job any easier. Until last January, the prospect of becoming coach of the France team encouraged “ZZ” to stay on the market, in the hope that he would be offered the Blues, but this scenario took the lead in the wing with the extension for four years of Didier Deschamps.
So nothing could prevent Zidane from going to Paris? Unfortunately for the champions of France, it is now towards Juventus that the 1998 world champion would be eyeing. It is the emotional side that speaks, since the former playmaker would find another of his former clubs, the Old Lady, after Real Madrid.
Definitely, there is always something blocking between PSG and Zidane. And RMC offers an explanation. It is not out of respect for OM that “Zizou” is refusing advances from the capital club for the moment, but it is because there is something that bothers him in the way of operate from PSG. The former Real coach is very attached to his freedom of action, and he would take a dim view of the vagueness that remains in the organization of PSG, where we do not always know how power is distributed.
