Thanks to their precious victory, Stade Rennais now occupy fifth place in the Ligue 1 standings, while Monaco have dropped to sixth place, with the same number of points but a lower goal difference.
Next Saturday, on the occasion of the 38th and last day of the French championship, Rennes and Monaco will try to move up to fourth place, synonymous with qualification for the Europa League. A position currently occupied by LOSC, which has a point lead, after its success in extremis against Nantes.
