Unheard of in C1 for 17 years
After the two Milanese clubs, Naples in turn won its ticket to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Italian football is doing well. At least as far as the clubs are concerned. After AC Milan and Inter Milan, Naples has also validated its qualification for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Already a 2-0 winner in the first leg, Napoli made short work of Eintracht Frankfurt on the return (3-0).
Italy will therefore have three clubs in the Champions League quarter-final stage, something that has not happened to them since the 2005-2006 season when Juventus Turin, AC Milan and Inter Milan were also among the eight last qualified teams.
