Targeted by Luis Campos, the Uruguayan midfielder from Sporting now seems closer to Chelsea.
The Manuel Ugarte track is moving away for Paris Saint-Germain. The capital club, through Luis Campos, seemed ready to offer the Uruguayan midfielder from Sporting, by paying the player’s release clause.
But it is now Chelsea who holds the rope in this case. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues intend to move forward with this transfer in the next few hours. Ben Jacobs (CBS) adds for his part that the preference of Ugarte goes well towards the English club, to the detriment of PSG.
More contacts are expected today for Manuel Ugarte deal, involving also Jorge Mendes. 🚨🔵🇺🇾 #CFC
Chelsea consider deal now at ‘advanced stage’ for €60m fee — but not done or sealed yet, being still careful with PSG around until documents are signed.
