This midfielder is coming back to PSG this summer, it’s official!

Loaned to Sunderland throughout the season, Edouard Michut will return to PSG this summer.

Considered one of the great hopes of the PSG training center, Edouard Michut was loaned last summer to Sunderland, a resident of the Championship, with a purchase option set at 2.5 M € and automatically increasing to 5 M € in the event of the promotion of the Black Cats to the Premier League.

Author of 28 appearances (1 goal) this season in the jersey of the first team of Sunderland, who finished sixth in the Championship before being eliminated in the play-off to accession to the Premier League, the 20-year-old French midfielder will finally return to PSG this summer. It was the English club which made the news official on its website, notably through its sporting director, Kristjaan Speakman.

Michut back at PSG… before leaving?

“Edouard played a leading role throughout his loan and we thank him for his contribution. He is highly respected by everyone at Sunderland, but after a period of dialogue with the player and his representatives, all parties have mutually agreed that it is best to pursue other opportunities. We really enjoyed working with Edou and we wish him good luck for the future,” dropped the leader of Sunderland.

Still under contract with PSG until June 2025, Edouard Michut will therefore return to Paris this summer… before leaving for new horizons? According to information from Sky Sportsit is the international tricolor U20 (2 selections) who has decided not to continue his adventure at Sunderland, in order to assess the various options available to him regarding his future.

According to the same source, Fulham, 10th in the Premier League, is particularly interested in his services, in addition to other clubs.
