After the qualifications of Senegal and Nigeria the day before, the last two quarter-finals of the CAN U20 are on the program this Friday.

The first poster of the day promises to be unbalanced on paper since it will oppose Gambia, 3e of the previous edition, in South Sudan, who discovers the competition. Authors of 3 victories in a group comprising Tunisia, Benin and Zambia, the Scorpions have confirmed that they are among the favorites. Be careful all the same in South Sudan, qualified only among the best 3rd but which eliminated the Central African Republic (1-0), quarter-finalists of the previous edition, stood up to Uganda (0-0) and lost against the Congo after failing to take the lead (1-2). Gambians will have to beware of the refreshing surprise of this edition…

At the start of the evening, it is then time for the clash between the Congo and Tunisia. Still undefeated, the Congolese were overtaken at the top of the group only by Uganda following a draw and they showed good things offensively with 4 goals scored. Beaten by Gambia (0-1) then held in check by Benin (0-0), Tunisia on the contrary sinned for a long time in this area before letting go of the horses on the last day to clinch an attractive victory against Zambia (2-1). Very smart whoever can predict the outcome of this duel, the winner of which will qualify for the U20 World Cup and join Senegal in semi-finals !
