7 months before the start of the competition, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the official logo of the 2023 African Cup of Nations! Dotted with the colors orange and green, it honors the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire, who are hosting the tournament.
CAN 2023 will be the 34th edition of this legendary tournament. There
Ivory Coast had the prestige of being designated as the host country. It will host the tournament which will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, in five different cities: the capital, Abidjan, but also Bouaké, Korhogo, San-Pédro and Yamoussoukro. For nearly a month, an entire continent will vibrate to the rhythm of African football. The stadiums are preparing to welcome the 24 national teams from across the continent, and the fans are preparing to provide an electric atmosphere during each match. Friday evening, CAF therefore broadcast a small animation on its social networks in order to present the logo of the tournament.

7 teams already qualified
Seven teams have already qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. Côte d’Ivoire, as the country hosting the event, was already automatically qualified. THE MoroccoI’Algeria, South Africa, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Tunisia snatched their ticket to take part in the prestigious tournament. These teams secured their place in the qualifiers and they are now ready to compete for the coveted trophy at the competition in Ivory Coast. Scheduled for next weekend, the 5th day of qualifying will allow new qualifiers to be identified, before the final round in September.
During the last edition, which took place in Cameroon in 2021, it was Senegal who won in the final against Algeria (0-0, 4 pens to 2). Sadio Mané, who is now playing for Bayern Munich where
he has just had a complicated season, had been voted best player of the tournament. The Indomitable Lion Vincent Aboubakar finished top of the scoring charts, with 8 goals.
