It’s official. The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has communicated the final list of 26 players under the age of 17 selected by coach Arezki Remmane to play in the final phase of CAN U17 at home, from April 29 to May 19, 2023.
A few hours after the last preparation match of the Fennecs U17, against their counterparts in Burkina Faso (1-1), the coach of the Greens made his choice. The 49-year-old technician trusted eleven young people from the FAF Academy, the most represented Algerian club, and five residents of Paradou AC. Elected man of the match last Tuesday against the U17 Stallions, Yazid Issam (CR Belouizdad) was rewarded for his performance and is part of the group to compete in the competition.
Djibril Bahlouli among the 26
Scorer against Burkina in a friendly on Tuesday, Bahlouli Djibril (OL U17, France) is one of the nine expatriates called up by the coach for the big meeting. He finds residents of the French championship under 17, in particular Arous Adem Hocine (Auxerre U17), Benali Younes (Nantes U17) and Chetioui Shain (Le Havre AC U17).

Less known than their teammates who play in France, Hammache Mastias (Montreal SC U17, Canada) and Abdelmodjib Mohammed (Hercules Alicante U19, Spain) will have their role to play in the workforce, as well as Mohamed Ali Saleh Ziad ( Zamalek SC, Egypt). Delaveau Yanis Ferhat (AS Nancy U19, France) and Beltaief Zyed (AC Ajaccio U19, France) complete the list.
As a reminder, the Fennecs U17 start the competition on April 29 with a confrontation with Somalia in group A.
