After a good first season with Arsenal, William Saliba will extend with the Gunners.
William Saliba and Arsenal, it’s here to stay! The French defender will extend his four-year contract with the Gunners, announces The Athletic.
For his first season in the Premier League, Saliba immediately established himself as a part of Mikel Arteta’s team. His extension is an important issue for the London club, because the former Stéphanois is already approaching the end of his five-year contract, signed in 2019. Since then, Arsenal had chosen to loan him to Saint-Etienne, Nice and then to OM, so that he can toughen up.
Saliba has made 27 Premier League appearances this season. His back injury coincided with a difficult end to the league for the Gunners, who finished second behind Manchester City after long holding the top spot.
