Mohamed Salah did not mince his words when discussing Liverpool’s non-qualification for the next Champions League.
It is now a certainty: Liverpool will not compete in the Champions League next season. Consequence of Manchester United’s victory over Chelsea (4-1) on Thursday, which condemns the Reds to fifth place in the Premier League.
On Twitter, Mohamed Salah did not hesitate to react, not hiding his disappointment. “I am totally devastated. There is absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to qualify for the Champions League next year and we failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying for this competition is the bare minimum. I’m sorry but it’s too early for an inspirational or optimistic message. We let you down”he wrote.
