Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to sell Kylian Mbappe, but they’ve put a huge price tag on him. The Ligue 1 side are looking to make a profit on the €180m they paid to sign the AS Monaco striker.
According to a report from Le10Sport, Mbappe is set to get his wish to leave PSG this summer. However, the French side only want to sell him for 200 million euros.
Real Madrid have made two offers to sign him in 2021 which were reportedly €160m and €180m. PSG rejected both as they were keen to keep him for the season despite him being in the final 12 months of his contract.
Los Blancos were convinced to sign the striker for free last summer but the Frenchman signed a new contract at Parc des Princes.
Florentino Perez got furious and said: “His dream was to play in Madrid, we wanted to do that last August and they wouldn’t let him go, he kept saying he wanted to play in Madrid and like 15 days before he changes the situation. It’s not the Mbappe I wanted to bring, it’s another, who had to change his dream.
Kylian Mbappé still dreams of going to Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappé has signed a new contract with PSG but still wants to play for Real Madrid in the future. The forward has admitted he isn’t giving up on the move to the Santiago Bernabeu. He told the BBC:
“Never finished, never finished. The only thing is that now I signed a contract for three more years. You never know what may happen in the future. I give up thinking about the future, I only think about the present and the present is that I have signed a new contract for three more years at Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe confirmed he spoke to Florentino Perez after his U-turn and said: “I spoke to the president of Real Madrid because I have a lot of respect for him and the club. I think it was important to say it personally that I was not going to go. To be a great player [vous devez] to be honest and everything was great and good because we have a good relationship.”
Los Blancos are in the hunt for a striker as they look to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema and could make a move for Kylian Mbappe.
