Mourinho at PSG, the answer

Asked about Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in him, José Mourinho replied that the capital club had not yet contacted him.

If we exclude the eternal rumor Zinedine Zidane, José Mourinho is currently the coach whose name is most cited to be the next coach of Paris Saint-Germain. And the “Special One” was also asked about the interest of PSG, this Wednesday, on the eve of the semi-final of the Europa League between AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen.

Asked about possible contacts with the reigning French champions, Mourinho kicked into touch. “If they look for me, they haven’t found me because I never spoke to them,” replied the Portuguese, with a small smirk that everyone will interpret in their own way.

Mourinho would however be PSG’s No. 1 target at the moment. According to Foot Mercato, contact has been established between the former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Parisian president. Interested in the challenge, the “Mou” would have mentioned his ideas to discipline the Parisian locker room. He would also have expressed the desire to recruit players with strong character, like Sofyan Amrabat, the defensive midfielder of Morocco and Fiorentina.

However, Foot Mercato adds that Al-Khelaifi would have a little doubt about Mourinho. The Parisian club have had enough turmoil lately, and maybe it’s not reasonable to call a coach as tempestuous as the Portuguese. The PSG president’s plan B would be Thiago Motta, a former member of the house, who is currently stationed in Bologna.
