PSG and Lionel Messi’s lawyers have reportedly reached an agreement for the Argentine’s layoff to be overturned in exchange for his apology.
At the beginning of last week, after the defeat of Paris Saint-Germain at home against Lorient (1-3), Lionel Messi offered himself a trip to Saudi Arabia, as part of his partnership with the wealthy oil country. Yes, but now, this trip has not been validated by the capital club, which has decided to sanction its Argentine star for two weeks. A strong decision that has generated a lot of reactions around the world.
For his part, Lionel Messi decided to apologize publicly last Friday, via a video posted on his social networks. A message which was broadcast following a “secret” contract established between the clan of the sevenfold Ballon d’Or and the Parisian decision-makers, reports this Thursday evening RMC Sport.
Apology or dismissal?
PSG would have sent Lionel Messi a layoff letter and a summons for an interview prior to dismissal. But to avoid getting there, the clan of the former Barcelonan orchestrated the apology video, the 2022 world champion wishing to be able to resume collective training sessions. Which did from Monday.
Both parties have thus “decided to draw up a private contract” so that the Argentinian makes amends and that the club and that in exchange the Ile-de-France club accept him for training sessions at Camp des Loges. On the other hand, nothing has been specified for the matches. Note that the Red and Blue have denied this information from our colleagues at RMC Sport.
