Manchester United are back in the Champions League. The Red Devils beat Chelsea dryly (4-1), and climbed on the third step of the podium synonymous with qualification in C1. It started very strong, Casemiro opened the scoring with a header from the start of the match and put his team on the right track (6′).
The Londoners had many equalizing balls, but they were punished just before the break by Anthony Martial who made the break (45+5′). Back from the locker room, same pattern, Chelsea lacked success and confident Bruno Fernandes scored the 3-0 goal from the penalty spot (73′).
Then the match turned to humiliation when Marcus Rashford took advantage of a recovery error and brought the total to 4 (78′). Finally, Joao Felix saved the honor after a solo rush which deprived De Gea of the clean sheet (89′).
Thanks to this success Manchester United can finally focus 100% on the FA Cup final against Manchester City, while Chelsea still do not move from their twelfth place.
