Obviously eagerly awaited since the accusations of racism of which he is the object, Christophe Galtier presented himself this Friday at a press conference, on the eve of the shock, Saturday, against Lens.

PSG are playing very big on Saturday. While it only has Ligue 1 left to save a season that is turning into a nightmare, the capital club faces this Saturday its runner-up, RC Lens, which follows at six lengths and hopes to strike a big blow at the Parc princes. But this shock has passed into the background since the beginning of the “Galtier affair”. Christophe Galtier has indeed been accused since Tuesday evening of racist and Islamophobic remarks. Consequence of an email from Julien Fournier, former sports director of OGC Nice, sent to his management while he was in office and which opportunely leaked a few days after the Parisian victory at the Aiglons…

In this email, the former Nice leader accuses the native of Marseille of racist and Islamophobic considerations about his group. Charges that caused a real earthquake. Christophe Galtier was therefore necessarily particularly expected when he appeared before the press. And without much surprise, the club as its trainer engaged in a severe development.

“I am deeply shocked by the comments that have been attributed to me and which have been relayed by some in an irresponsible way, which strikes me to the depths of my humanity. I am a child of the HLM housing estates brought up in the mix, brought up to respect others regardless of their origin, color or religion”he said, adding: “All my life as a man has been dictated by the concern for sharing and living well with others, I cannot accept that my name and my family be soiled in this way. »
