According to Mohamed Toubache, FC Metz has set a price of 15 million euros for its Ligue 2 striker and top scorer Georges Mikautadze (22). While the club would like to keep their star if they are promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of the season, English clubs are very interested if they do not succeed this season.
Toubache reports that there is also interest from France as well as a Premier League club. The 22-year-old is currently Ligue 2’s top scorer with 22 goals in 33 appearances this season for Metz – who can still mathematically be promoted to the top tier with 62 points.
Mikautadze’s contract currently runs until 2026 – as Toubache reports the club could also accept an offer from €12m with bonuses. However, again, it depends on whether Metz end up in Ligue 1 or Ligue 1 for next season.
