Barcelona have offered Sergi Roberto a new two-year contract, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The deal on the table is a one-year extension until 2024 and an optional additional year depending on how many games he can play. Thus, Roberto will be tied to Barca until 2025.

The 30-year-old has made 18 appearances for Barca this season, scoring twice and registering as many assists.

Roberto seems to have made an impression on Xavi with his versatility, despite his injury struggles this term. The Spaniard can play as a midfielder (his preferred position) and as a right-back.

Roberto came out of La Masia from Barca. He joined the Academy in 2006.
