Times have changed and the defending champion took a very expensive Sunday, without being able to get away with a miracle. The Nerazzurri beat the Rossoneri 1-0 on Sunday night.
This derby without much suspense allows Inter to remain 2nd in Serie A (but 13 points behind the Neapolitan leader) and weighs down Milan a little more, which is 3 defeats in a row (and 5 matches without a win), for to languish in his 6th place in the standings. Too complicated for Giroud
Dominating against very remote Milanese, Simone Inzaghi’s men found the fault on a corner and a header from Lautaro Martinez, left alone in front of the goal of Ciprian Tatarusanu (34th). Giroud had almost no opportunity to worry André Onana, first associated with Divock Origi (in a 3-5-2) then with Rafael Leao (entered only in the 55th).

Inter Milan also had the last opportunities at the end of the game thanks to the presence of Romelu Lukaku, launched for the last 20 minutes in place of Edin Dzeko.
